THE WALL: An Inversion Workshop
Come join us at this two hour Saturday workshop!
Sure, trying new things can keep you humble but it can also open doors of possibility and show you all that you CAN do! The most important thing to remember is that whether you get all the way into a fancy pose or not, every effort counts.
We will move through a steady practice, using the wall for support and reinforcement. As in all our work together, building a strong, safe, functional foundation is paramount. In this workshop, we’ll move through a practice with plenty of demonstrations to help with any modifications that might serve you.
As I always say in class, in inversions, there’s no “Here goes nuthin’!” When you are ready to explore new poses, your body will tell you. It’s always our job (and probably the most important part of our practice as ongoing yogis) to listen to the inner teacher. The balance between pushing yourself to try WHILE respecting your limitations is the REAL advanced practice!
That said, get ready to have some fun!
- 2 yoga blocks
- 8’ or 10’ yoga strap
- a sturdy, flat-seated chair (like a good, solid kitchen chair)
- some space at a clear wall
1. All ongoing Level 1-2 students are encouraged to attend.
If I am not familiar with your practice or you are new to the studio, let’s connect via email before you register for this workshop.
2. Anyone suffering from high blood pressure, cervical spine issues, IOP (Intra Ocular Pressure) should avoid inversions.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions
and I’ll see you on the mat!
