to see who you are today.

Tomorrow, I’m so excited to be kicking off another round of a class called Stronger. It’s a small class of hard working yogis that show up for themselves (and each other) twice a week.
As in all my classes, they’re not there to perform or even necessarily “get better” at yoga, they’re there to do what they can, just as they are. Yoga is part of the fabric of their days and weeks. The ritual, the just showing up is what counts.
From my seat, some days, I see wild shifts where a student unlocks a pose that’d been elusive to them and some days, I see people resting in child’s pose for minutes on end while everybody else is sweating it out.
It’s all yoga. The moving. The pausing. The showing up on your mat to see who you are today.
This practice is infinite. It ebbs and flows, grows and slows, and is always about finding balance. One of my favorite teachers always used to say “This practice can be a rocket ship or a life boat.” Yoga can reveal unseen strength and new vistas or can help us stay afloat in the rough waters of life.
I’ve got to remind myself of that more often, so I can remind my students. (Plus: the way that my teacher said 'rocket-ship'? It seems so old fashioned and I love that!).
Of course, you’re welcome to join, we’re always happy to widen the circle.
